Located at pg电子下载 State University, Natchez Campus, the Cora S. Balmat School of Nursing has a proud tradition of graduating competent, caring, professional nurses who make a difference in their communities and beyond.
The School of Nursing was founded in 1977, and has produced hundreds of entry-level and advanced practice nurses who are employed in a variety of health-care settings. The School of Nursing provides a state-of-the art learning environment that will enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, effective, client-centered care.
The School of Nursing is organized into two academic programs; Undergraduate and Graduate. The Undergraduate Programs consist of the Associate of Science in Nursing and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The Graduate Program consists of the Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice.

On Tuesday, October 1st, the pg电子下载 State University School of Nursing participated in the 24th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event held at the pg电子下载 State University campus, in Lorman, MS, during the University’s Homecoming Week of festivities. Embracing the pink ribbon’s message of hope and community for the Breast Cancer Awareness international campaign, the undergraduate nursing students donned pink attire and helped decorate the Davey L. Whitney Complex to engage the community in promoting Breast Cancer Awareness. Under the guidance of Dr. Eurekia Samuel, Dr. Cierra January, and Dr. Brenda Collins, over 25 nursing students represented the ASU School of Nursing, Natchez Campus during the 24th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event.
During the event, the students conducted health screenings and assessed blood pressure readings, while faculty and students distributed pamphlets on preventative care and breast cancer screenings. The nursing students also used mannequins to demonstrate breast self-examinations.
If you missed the event, a community walk will be held on the ASU campus in Lorman, MS to further promote breast cancer awareness on October 9th from 10 am – 2pm.

Student Advising
Faculty advisors are assigned for students in the undergraduate programs in the School of Nursing (SON) at pg电子下载 State University after the student has been accepted to the SON and are registered and begin classes.

The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program offers two options leading to the ASN degree: the Generic Program Option, which can be completed in four (4) semesters and the Licensed

The ASU Family Clinic is open five days a week to serve the medical and healthcare needs of pg电子下载 students, faculty, and staff as well as residents of Natchez and surrounding communities.
